Upcoming Events



Membership Drive:
·     We will be having our membership drive  Sept. 12-23rd.
·     Encourage your friends to join!
·     We will ask some of you to sit at a table and answer questions and take money.

T-Shirts:
·     A t-shirt order form is attached.
·     Be sure to order a shirt, especially if you want to attend the convention as it will be required.

Spirit Night:
·     Arby’s on September 22nd 5-8pm.
·     Encourage your family, friends, church members, etc. to attend and help us raise money for our club.
·     We will need at least 6 people to sign up to work 1 hour shifts at Arby’s.

State Competition



Our state convention will be February 15-17th at Lexington.  Our goal is to win at state so that we can go to Nationals at Disney World!

To be eligible to compete at state, you must be an active member.  This means that you attend meetings, help at events, and earn service hours.

Mrs. Locker and Mrs. Gibbs have the last call on who gets to attend.  We will look at how active you are as well as behavior at school.

Princess Tea Party


Thank you very much to all of our members who came out to help with the Princess Tea Party on September 3rd.  We were able to raise the $2000 we needed to sponsor a room at the Ronald McDonald House for a year! If you worked the event, please be sure to turn in your service hour points.

Formal Dress Consignment Sale

The GCMS Jr. beta  will be hosting a formal dress consignment sale on February 3rd, 4th, and 5th from 3-5pm at the GCMS library.  Below are the consignment guidelines for the sale.  For a consignor form, click HERE.

Consignment Guidelines:
*Dresses may be dropped off at GCMS January 26th - 29th from 8-4.
*Dresses must be in clean condition.
*No stains, rips, or tears.
*Everything on the dress must be in good working order.
*Each dress should be hung in a clear garment bag.
*Each dress must have a consignor form pinned to it to be dropped off.
*The consignor will receive 75% of the profit.
*GCMS Jr. Beta will receive 25% of the profit.
*On Friday of the sale, with the consignors permission, dresses will be marked half price. Consignors must note on the form if they do not want the price of their dress reduced.
*Consignors will be notified by e-mail on February 5th if their dress sold.
*Dress pick-up will be February 8th from 2-4.
*Dresses not picked up by February 10th will be donated to students who cannot afford a dress for the 8th grade formal.
*Checks will be mailed by the end of February.
